Team USA continues to roll at the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Men's Under-18 Championship. The U.S. National Men’s Under-18 Team trounced the Czech Republic, 6-0, on Tuesday to advance to the semifinals in Minsk, Belarus.

A pair of local products, forward Brandon Saad (Gibsonia, Pa.) and defenseman Stephen Johns (Wampum, Pa.), continue to star for the Americans.

Johns, a potential first or second round selection at this June’s National Hockey League Entry Draft, has notched three assists, a team-high 10 penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating through five games.

Saad, who scored the opening goal against the Czechs, has three goals and two assists in five games. He is rated as one of the top prospects for the 2011 draft.

Team USA will meet Finland in the semifinal round on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Sport Palace Minsk.
