by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

NEW YORK - Jaromir Jagr's late goal Monday night gave the Rangers a 2-1 win over the Penguins.

Blair Betts got the Rangers on the scoreboard 47 seconds into the third period. A shot from the far point deflected off Betts' stick on the way to the net and slid past Thibault. It ended Thibault's shutout streak at 141:14.

Michel Ouellet tied it 1-1 with 5:42 left. Erik Christensen's shot deflected off a Rangers defenseman and sailed right to Ouellet on the near post. He one-timed the shot into the goal past Henrik Lundqvist. Evgeni Malkin assisted on the play as his touch pass outside the blue line found Christensen along the far boards.

Jaromir Jagr's pass from behind the Penguins goal deflected off a Penguins defender near the top of the crease and trickled into the net with 33.8 seconds remaining on the clock.
