Kennedy Out With Mononucleosis

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tyler Kennedy will miss the YoungStars Game at the NHL All-Star Weekend in Atlanta this weekend due to mononucleosis, it was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero. Kennedy will be sidelined for an indefinite period of time.

Kennedy is in his first season with the Penguins and has scored 12 points (8+4) in 31 games played. He currently leads all NHL rookies with four game-winning goals. Kennedy was originally selected by the Penguins in the fourth round (99th overall) in the 2004 Entry Draft.
