Penguins forward Jussi Jokinen was named to Team Finland’s roster for the 2014 Olympics to be held next month in Sochi, Russia.

Jokinen will be making his second Olympic appearance. He helped his Finnish squad capture the silver medal at the 2006 Turino Games.

This season, Jokinen ranks fifth on the Penguins with 30 points (12G-18A) through 44 games. His 12 goals rank second among Finnish players behind Valtteri Filppula’s 16, and his 30 points place third among Finnish skaters.

Jokinen suited up for the Finns in five World Championships between 2005-12, winning bronze medals in ’06 and ’08. He also won a pair of bronze medals for Finland in the 2002 and ’03 World Junior Championships. Jokinen led the WJC with six goals in ’03.

Jokinen won a bronze medal with Finland at the 2001 World Under-18 Championships.
