(CP) HALIFAX, N.S. - Travellers arriving at Halifax Stanfield International Airport are being reminded that the city is the hometown of hockey superstar Sidney Crosby.
A one-metre by 3 1/2-metre banner showing the Pittsburgh Penguins captain hoisting the Stanley Cup has been hung in the arrivals area. Another banner congratulating Crosby for winning the 2009 cup will be installed later in the terminal's main lobby, the airport says.
"We're all so proud of him and the way he represents Nova Scotia to the world," Tom Ruth, president of the Halifax International Airport Authority, said in a release.
More than 10 million visitors travel through the airport each year.
Crosby is a native of Cole Harbour, a Halifax suburb.
