Fifty eight girls' hockey teams, including 25 from Canada and one from as far away as British Columbia, will take part in the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Girls Thanksgiving Classic November 25-27 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex and other local rinks.

The tournament, presented by Dick's Sporting Goods, will feature 11 local teams as well as those representing Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, New York, Michigan, Ohio and eastern Pennsylvania.
Seven Pittsburgh Penguins Elite teams will be competing.
"It's become one of the largest girls' holiday tournaments in the country," said Rich Hixon, president of the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry.
There will be Tier I and Tier II competition in five different age categories, and 10 champions will be crowned on Sunday, November 27.
Visiting teams have booked more than 1,900 room nights at local hotels in Butler and Allegheny Counties.
