Taylor’s Take…

On winning the NCAA Championship: “That was amazing, I mean winning a championship my first year, the guys on that team just taught us so much. It was a great first year, hopefully we can carry it over next year.”

On how it felt to be drafted by the Pens: “It was amazing. This is such a great organization. Three Stanley Cups, so many great players come through here. It was just an honor to hear my name called that day.”

On how he spent his time leading up to camp: “Just working out. I was excited to come here. It’s only two weeks from when you hear your name until you come here, so you just work hard trying to get ready for the camp. I’m going back to college, so I just want to learn as much as I can and make a good first impression.”

On how he describes his style of play: “I’m more offensive. I like to jump in the rush and make a good first pass. I’m working on my defensive game, and I gotta be good in both ends.”

On how he liked camp and Pittsburgh: “I love it. It’s so nice. The facilities here are unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it. I love the city. It’s unreal just knowing that a NHL team skates here all year. It’s pretty special.”
