The Pens play the Sens on the backend of back-to-back contests. Pittsburgh dropped a 5-2 contest in Washington on Wednesday … Pittsburgh's 5-game winning streak was snapped by the Caps … Pittsburgh topped Ottawa, 8-5, at home on Dec. 5. Bryan Rust scored his 1st career hat trick in the game … Justin Schultz has a career-best 6-game scoring streak (1G-5A). Phil Kessel also carries a 6-game scoring streak (2G-6A) into the contest … Sidney Crosby has points in 14 of his last 16 games (11G-19A-30PTS) … The Sens snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory against Edmonton on Sunday. This will be their first game coming out of their bye week … Goaltender Mike Condon, who was a member of the Pens during the early part of the current season, has started 16 straight games for Ottawa … All-Star Erik Karlsson leads the Sens in scoring with 32 points (7G-25A) … Kyle Turris has a team-best 14 goals.
