For the first time ever the two best players of their generation square off as Sidney Crosby will go against Connor McDavid … Crosby has the 2nd-best points-per-game in the NHL with 1.10, while McDavid ranks 4th (tied) overall with 14 points (5G-9A) … Both players were selected No. 1 overall in their respective draft years: Crosby (2005), McDavid (2015) … Goalie Matt Murray, coming off of a 32-save shutout, will start for the Pens … The Pens are coming off of a 3-0-1 road trip that swung through the west coast, collecting 7 of 8 possible points … The Oilers are currently ranked first in the Pacific Division with a 9-3-1 mark.
