5 THINGS

1. The trio of Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel and Conor Sheary were reunited against Philadelphia, and the crew had an immediate impact. All 3 players posted multiple points (Crosby, 3A; Sheary, 2G; Guentzel, 2A).

2. Center Evgeni Malkin has 38 goals and 84 points on the season. His points are 3 behind NHL-leader Nikita Kucherov (87). Malkin has more career points against Toronto (58) than any other non-division foe.

3. Forward Josh Jooris was recalled from WBS on Friday. He is expected to make his Pens' debut tonight.

4. Toronto is coming out of its bye week, having not played in the past 5 days. The Maple Leafs went 0-2-2 heading into the break, and are 3rd in the Atlantic Division - 7 points behind 2nd-place Boston.

5. The Leafs are still without star Auston Matthews (shoulder). But Toronto has plenty of dynamic talents in Mitchell Marner (54 points) and William Nylander (50), and snipers Nazim Kadri (24 goals) and James van Riemsdyk (26).
