WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

The Pens will be wearing their "road" white jerseys. It'll be the 1st time Pittsburgh has worn white at home since Game 2 of the 1992 Stanley Cup Final against the Chicago Blackhawks … Though the Pens suffered their 1st setback of the season on home ice on Thursday against the Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh is still 6-1-1 at home … Pittsburgh is 7-0-1 in its last 8 games against Toronto and 5-0-1 in its last 6 against the Leafs at home …  Phil Kessel has a 7-game home scoring streak (3G-7A), the 3rd-longest (tied) of his career … Matt Murray will start in goal ... The Maples Leafs are playing the Pens on the second half of back-to-backs, having topped the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night, 6-3, in Toronto … The Leafs are led by their 3 young sensations at forward in Auston Matthews, Mitchell Marner and William Nylander. All 3 were first-round picks and each has 12 points on the season … Matthews was the first-overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft … Toronto has 7 rookies on their squad.

MORNING SKATE REPORT:

The Pens held an optional morning skate. Players that took the option to not skate were Kunitz, Letang, Malkin, Hornqvist, Kessel and Crosby.
