5 THINGS
1.The Flyers avoided elimination with a 4-2 victory in Game 5 thanks to a late 3rd period goal by Sean Couturier, who returned from a lower-body injury.
2.Patric Hornqvist (upper-body) and Evgeni Malkin will be game-time decisions for Game 6. Hornqvist missed the past 2 games, but practiced on Saturday and said if all goes well he will return. Malkin missed Saturday's practice. Head coach Mike Sullivan didn't elaborate on his status other than to say, "all players will be game-time decisions."
3.The Pens are 5-1 in elimination games where Bryan Rust records a point. In those contests he has compiled 10 (9G-1A). He's scored 3 series-clinching goals.
4.Following a loss in the playoffs during his young career, goaltender Matt Murray is 9-1 with a 1.52 goals-against average and .939 save percentage. In those 9 wins Murray posted a 1.36 GAA and .945 save percentage.
5.Goaltender Michal Neuvirth will make his 2nd start of the series. He stopped 30 of 32 shots in a Game 5 victory.
