The Pittsburgh Penguins are in Carolina to play the Hurricanes.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

This is the third of four meetings between the Pens and 'Canes this season, and 2nd in Carolina. Pittsburgh won each of the previous two meetings by a combined score of 11-3, and netted a season-high 7 road goals in their last visit to PNC Arena … The Pens saw a streak of nine straight games with a point snapped in their 5-2 loss to Detroit on Saturday. That was their first regulation loss since the All-Star break … Pittsburgh's power play will have a big challenge against Carolina, whose penalty kill ranks 1st in the NHL … The 'Canes are looking to snap a four-game winless streak (0-3-1) tonight at home. They are 3-8-1 in their last 12, which has dropped them to last place in the Eastern Conference … Matt Murray was the first goalie off the ice for Pittsburgh, while Cam Ward will likely start in goal for Carolina … Pittsburgh injuries: Olli Maatta (hand); Bryan Rust  (upper-body); Justin Schultz  (concussion); Conor Sheary (upper-body)  … Carolina injuries: Bryan Bickell (multiple sclerosis).

Nick Bonino was the only expected player missing from morning skate. Head coach Mike Sullivan said he was at the hotel and wasn't feeling well, and would probably be out for tonight's game.
