Game Preview: Pens-Blackhawks

The Pens travel to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks in their season opener as part of Pittsburgh's opening week, which is presented by RAM Trucks.

5 NOTES ON THE GAME:

1. The Pens are playing their first of 19 sets of back-to-back contests, finishing off tonight in Chicago.

2. Pittsburgh 4 players record multiple points against St. Louis in its season opener: Sidney Crosby (1G-1A), Evgeni Malkin (2A), Jake Guentzel (2A), Bryan Rust (2A). Greg McKegg registered his 1st point as a Penguin with an assist. He also went 13-4 in the faceoff dot.

3. Kris Letang picked up where he left off, leading the team in ice time with 26:05 minutes.

4. Goaltender Antti Niemi is anticipated to make his Penguins debut. He won a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2010. 

5. The Pens haven't won in the United Center since Feb. 27, 2009.
