Prizes will be awarded throughout the final regular season home game of 2007-08 at Mellon Arena, but the highlight will be a post-game ceremony where 26 fans, chosen at random, will receive the Penguins’ jerseys from the game (scratched and injured players also will participate).
“This has been a record-setting season for sellouts and season ticket sales, and this gives us one more opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to our fans,” team president David Morehouse said. “The players always tell us that the loyalty and passion of Pittsburgh Penguins fans is unsurpassed in the NHL. We’re all looking forward to the playoffs at this point, but we’re happy to have the opportunity to give back to our fans in this special way.”
Other featured prizes to be given away are a Penguins Polaris Ranger and a Honda ARX 1200 Jet Ski – both courtesy of Tom Clark Auto Family (and valued at $10,000 and $9,000, respectively).
Throughout the game, the Penguins also will be giving away electronics, resort packages and signed memorabilia from the players.
Fan Appreciation Night is presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods. All fans in attendance will receive a t-shirt courtesy of Trib Total Media’s Faceoff Magazine.
Before the game, the Penguins will hold their annual team awards ceremony. Fans are asked to be in their seats at 7:25 p.m.
