Evgeni Malkin and Carl Hagelin apparently wanted to show off their backhands Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins forwards created a highlight-reel goal only using their backhands during the second period of their 6-3 win against the Ottawa Senators at PPG Paints Arena.
After Malkin delivered a backhand pass at the Ottawa blue line, Hagelin skated in past Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson but ran out of space to deliver a shot. Hagelin snuck a backhand pass to Malkin from behind the goal, and Malkin turned and whipped a shot from his backhand past Ottawa goalie Mike Condon to boost Pittsburgh's lead to 3-1 at 10:01.
It was pretty fancy.
Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz, who got the secondary assist, actually started the play on his backhand. After stripping the puck from Senators forward Mike Hoffman, Schultz made a backhand flip off the boards to Hagelin.
