Eight High School Hockey Teams to Play Outdoors In Charity Series at North and South Parks

Eight local high school hockey teams will play in their own “Winter Classics” at the North and South Park outdoor rinks in the next two weeks.
On Friday, Jan. 21, Mars will take on Westmont Hilltop at 6:30 p.m. and Seneca Valley will play North Allegheny at 8:30 p.m. at the North Park rink.
On Friday, Jan. 28, Peters will meet Pine Richland at 6:30 p.m. and Baldwin will skate against Upper St. Clair at 8:30 p.m. at the South Park rink.
The games are part of the High School Hockey Outdoor Charity Series, presented by UPMC Centers for Rehab Services and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic High School Hockey League (PIHL)
Tickets are $7 at the gate. Children under 12 are admitted free. Special t-shirts also will be on sale for $15.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to four local charities – the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Susan G. Komen Walk For The Cure, and the PIHL Paul Sciullo Memorial Scholarship.
