Crosby, Pens Visit Leafs Tonight

Sidney Crosby will be back in the lineup tonight when the Penguins close out the NHL portion of their pre-season schedule against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto. Game time at the Air Canada Centre is 7:30 p.m.

Crosby sat out the Penguins’ 3-1 victory over the Leafs Wednesday in Pittsburgh because of a sore groin.

Joining Crosby in the lineup tonight will be forwards Miroslav Satan, Pascal Dupuis, Jordan Staal, Ruslan Fedotenko, Bill Thomas, Janne Pesonen, Matt Cooke, Max Talbot, Tyler Kennedy, Paul Bissonnette and Eric Godard; defensemen Brooks Orpik, Mark Eaton, Hall Gill, Kris Letang, Alex Goligoski and Danny Richmond and goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury and Dany Sabourin.

Penguins radio analyst Phil Bourque will be providing podcast updates on Bourque will post a pre-game report, updates after the first and second periods and a post-game wrapup.

The Pens, 2-1 in the pre-season heading into tonight’s game, will leave for a 10-day trip to Sweden on Saturday. They will play a final pre-season game against Jokerit of the Finnish Elite League at Helsinki, Finland on Thursday Oct. 2, then open the NHL regular season with back-to-back games against the Ottawa Senators Oct. 4 and 5 in Stockholm.
