Pittsburgh, PA – Legendary artists Carole King and James Taylor will be the final musical performers in the history of Mellon Arena, it has been announced by the Pittsburgh Penguins and SMG.
“The Final Concert at Mellon Arena” will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Together again for the “Troubadour Reunion” Tour, King and Taylor appear in an intimate in-the-round concert experience, an encore of their memorable February 26, 1971 performance in Pittsburgh.
James Taylor will be making his sixth Arena appearance, marking almost 40 years (8/14/70) since he first graced the Pittsburgh Civic Arena stage. This will be Carole King’s second appearance, her only other stop with Taylor in February, 1971.
