by Sam Kasan / Pittsburgh Penguins
Penguins 2010 first-round pick Beau Bennett is sidelined after having successful surgery Thursday to repair a ruptured tendon in his wrist. He will miss a minimum of 6-8 weeks and will be re-evaluated at that point.

Bennett, a sophomore with the University of Denver, originally injured his wrist during practice Oct. 26 and missed four games. He returned to the lineup Nov. 12.

The Gardena, California native has 13 points (4G-9A) in 10 games this season for DU. He has 38 points (13G-25A) in 47 career games with the Pioneers.
