All Six Penguins Preseason Games To Be Televised

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that all six preseason games will be televised locally for the first time in team history—four by ROOT SPORTS and two by Pittsburgh’s CW (WPCW).

ROOT SPORTS will carry the preseason opener on, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. when the Penguins face a new divisional foe, the Columbus Blue Jackets, at Nationwide Arena. ROOT SPORTS also will carry games on Sept. 19 at Chicago, Sept. 21 against Columbus at CONSOL Energy Center, and Sept. 25 at Detroit..

Pittsburgh’s CW will broadcast two preseason home games – Sept. 16 vs. Detroit and Sept. 23 vs. Chicago.

ROOT Sports broadcasters Paul Steigerwald and Bob Errey will call the action for all six games.

Monday, Sept. 16  DETROIT 7 p.m  WPCW-TV
Thursday, Sept. 19  at Chicago  8 p.m.  ROOT
Saturday, Sept. 21  COLUMBUS  4 p.m.  ROOT
Monday, Sept. 23  CHICAGO  7 p.m. WPCW-TV
Wednesday, Sept. 25  at Detroit 7:30 p.m. ROOT
