20th Annual Score Against Hunger Food Drive Set for November 15

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins and CONSOL Energy will host their 20th annual Score Against Hunger Food Drive on Tuesday, November 15 when the Penguins face the Colorado Avalanche at CONSOL Energy Center.

Food and cash donations will be collected at the American Eagle Gate, Trib Total Media Gate and Verizon Gate from 6:00 pm through the first ten minutes of the first period. Every fan who brings a non-perishable food item to the game, or makes a cash donation that evening, will be eligible to win autographed Penguins’ memorabilia.

All food and money collected this night will be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank for distribution to needy people throughout the Pittsburgh area. Fan participation is encouraged since the need to assist hungry people in the area has increased a great deal in the past few years.

Penguins’ Score Against Hunger Food Drives have collected over 32,000 pounds of food and more than $30,000 in donations since 1992.
