2019 World Championship: Semifinals

The 2019 World Championship is underway in Slovakia. The semifinals took place on Saturday.

Matt Murray and Jared McCann advanced to the gold medal game as Canada defeated Dominik Simon and the Czech Republic, 5-1. Murray made 40 saves in the game.
Evgeni Malkin and Russia lost to Finland, 1-0. They will play Simon and the Czech Republic in the bronze medal game on Sunday at 9 a.m. Canada will face Finland in the gold medal game at 2 p.m.
