The Penguins Wives Association will host toy collections at consecutive home games in December for the benefit of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program.
Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps and the team’s wives and girlfriends will be on hand to accept donations before home games on Thursday, December 3 against the Colorado Avalanche and Saturday, December 5 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Every fan who brings a new, unwrapped toy or makes a monetary donation at Gates 1, 3 and 10 on those game nights will be eligible to win autographed Penguins memorabilia. All toys and money collected will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program to help brighten a local child’s holiday.
Since 1992, Penguins fans have donated over 15,504 toys and $37,700 at the team’s annual toy drives.
