The Florida Panthers welcomed back another familiar face on Friday morning as Tomas Vokoun returned to South Florida after playing for the Czech Republic at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Vokoun did not participate in the 60-minute on-ice workout, but Denis Seidenberg (Germany) was back on the ice for the first time since returning from Vancouver.
Nathan Horton who is recovering from a broken leg was not on the ice for practice, but is looking forward to joining the team practice as early as this weekend.
“I have been working out pretty hard with our strength and conditioning coach Craig Slaunwhite and I am feeling better every day, " said Horton. "I have a little pain in my leg and hopefully I will be back on the ice with the guys really soon.”
After practice Head Coach Pete DeBoer said that G Scott Clemmensen
will get the start when the Panthers take on the Atlanta Thrashers in their first game back after the break on Mar. 2. D Luke Beaverson was assigned to Rochester after practice on Friday.
