Viner and Siegel Mark Two Months as Managing Partners of Florida Panthers and BankAtlantic Center

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, Fla. – In just over two months as Managing Partners of Sunrise Sports & Entertainment, the Florida Panthers and the BankAtlantic Center, Cliff Viner and Stu Siegel have stood by the principles of accountability, accessibility and a winning culture, and worked diligently to build an organization that can sustain success year in and year out.

“First of all, we must thank all of SSE’s fans, partners and supporters that have helped make the first two months of our tenure so enjoyable and successful,” Viner and Siegel said. “Certainly we are excited about some of the steps we have taken thus far as Managing Partners of this organization, but quite frankly, this is just the beginning. During our introductory press conference we plainly stated that our goal was to build an organization that was set up for long-term success. We will continue to work diligently toward that goal by sustaining our recent initiatives, introducing new ones, and maintaining an organizational philosophy that we can all be proud of.”
When Viner and Siegel were introduced as Managing Partners of SSE in mid-November, they ushered in a new era to the organization’s fans, partners and supporters. In just a short time, that era has been highlighted by a number of new initiatives and philosophies including:
- The introduction of SSE’s new corporate tagline: Accountability. Accessibility. Winning Culture.
- The unveiling of SSE’s “Pledge” and “Contract With The Community”
- Unprecedented media availability on radio, television and in print
- Welcoming Panthers fans at the start of select home games on the BankAtlantic Center’s main plaza level
- A town hall meeting with fans and supporters in December
- The launch of Project Unite, an initiative designed to bring SSE together with local South Florida business leaders to work toward one common goal
- The development of the Panthers/South Florida Hockey Hall of Fame inside the BankAtlantic Center, as part of an overall effort to better engage the franchise and the region’s hockey history
- The launch of Operation 242, in which potential fans and partners spend part of a Panthers home game in the owner’s suite with Viner and Siegel
- Monthly owner’s blogs on
