SSE Signs Florida Power & Light Company As New Partner

Goal of Partnership Is To Educate Fans On Energy Conservation

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has signed a multi-year partnership with the Florida Panthers and the BankAtlantic Center with the primary goal of educating fans on energy conservation.

"Florida Power & Light Company is one of the most respected companies in our community," SSE chief operating officer Michael Yormark said. "This is our first official partnership with FPL and we are honored to help them achieve their worthwhile goals and objectives."

The primary objective of this partnership is to use the visibility of the Panthers and the BankAtlantic Center to better educate the South Florida community on energy conservation. In addition, FPL will use the BankAtlantic Center as a staging area for emergency vehicles in urgent situations such as the aftermath of hurricanes. FPL will also sponsor a 'Flashlight Premium Giveaway' promotion during a yet to be determined Panthers home game at the BankAtlantic Center. Fans can also look forward to seeing the 'Conserve Energy, Turn Down the Lights' promotion prior to the start of every Panthers regular season home game as well as during both intermissions.
