SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment (SSE) announced today that it has retained the services of 360 Architecture and the firm’s widely respected architect George Heinlein to consult on conceptual projects both in and around the BankAtlantic Center, to ensure the venue’s guests continue to receive the ultimate entertainment experience.

“We are excited about this opportunity to work with one of the top sports architects in the industry,” said SSE president & COO Michael Yormark. “We pride ourselves on being a forward-thinking organization, and George has been retained to help us develop and execute a variety of exciting projects at the BankAtlantic Center.”

Potential projects for the multipurpose event center and home ice of the NHL’s Florida Panthers include the creation of state-of-the-art, all-inclusive premium seating locations, an inner bowl bar, suite-level opera boxes, digital signage opportunities and more.

Heinlein, a senior principal at 360 Architecture, has been responsible for some of the most widely recognized venues in professional and collegiate sports, earning acclaim for their design excellence and innovations. Examples include: New Meadowlands Stadium, the new home of the New York Jets and New York Giants; AmericanAirlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat; and Nationwide Arena, home of the NHL’s  Columbus Blue Jackets and anchor of the nation’s first fully integrated mixed-use sports and entertainment district, in Columbus, Ohio. In recent years, Heinlein has led a series of renovations at the United Center in Chicago, introducing new sponsorship and seating concepts that have revitalized the venerable arena.

“It’s an honor to work on BankAtlantic Center, which is recognized as one of the nation’s premier sports and entertainment facilities,” said Heinlein. “We look forward to collaborating with SSE, applying our expertise, and creating unique solutions that enhance the center’s experience for its fans, patrons and sponsors.”
