Panthers Draft Party at Carolina Ale House Set for Saturday Evening at 6 p.m.
SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers added to their already packed summer of community programming with the announcement of more than a half a dozen events that are scheduled for July and August.
"We have received tremendous feedback from our fans about the various events that we have already hosted so far this off-season, especially our Cats Cookouts." said Panthers Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark. "Throughout the next two months we will continue to be extremely active in the South Florida community, as we prepare to drop the puck for the 2006-07 season in October."
The fun continues this Saturday, June 24, when the Panthers host their annual Draft Party at Carolina Ale House in Weston. Panthers radio voice Steve Goldstein will host this year's event and 560 WQAM will do a live broadcast from the Carolina Ale House. At the party fans will have the chance to participate in interactive games and win various Panthers raffle prizes, as well as bid on several items in a silent auction to benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation.
On July 9, the Panthers will host their first Hockey House Call at longtime Panthers fan and season seat holder Buddy Nastase's home in Coral Springs. The purpose of the Hockey House Calls is for fans to invite friends, family and neighbors who might be interested in becoming Florida Panthers season ticket holders. The Panthers will take care of everything - food, beverage, entertainment, set-up and clean-up - while the hosts are free to tell their guests why now is the time to become a Panthers season ticket holder.
"Hockey House Calls are another example of our unique efforts to reach out to potential Panthers fans in the South Florida market," Yormark said. "This is the perfect opportunity for current season ticket holders to tell their friends and neighbors about the unbelievable experience of being a Panthers fan."
The Panthers will host their third Cats Cookout presented by Carls Patio on July 13. On July 24 the Panthers will host their first Hard Hat Tour of the BankAtlantic Center's new Panthers Club presented by Eastern Financial. The new club will encompass approximately 8,000 square feet and will cater to approximately 500 members with a Panthers themed interior design, full-service bar, outdoor patio, specialty buffet and tremendous sightlines. In August, the team will also host two more Cats Cookouts on Aug. 10 and Aug. 24, as well as the Panthers Beach Bash on Aug. 19 on Fort Lauderdale beach.
"This summer's event schedule is clearly the most aggressive in our club's history, "said Yormark. "We encourage all South Florida sports fans to attend one of these great functions to learn more about becoming a Panthers season seat holder."
