Second Annual South Florida Hockeyfest Set For Sunday

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that the second annual South Florida Hockeyfest will take place Sunday, May 6 from noon-4 p.m. at Iceplex in Coral Springs. The event is free and open to the public and will feature hockey equipment demos, raffles and appearances by the Redline Lady Panthers and select Florida Panthers players.

Hockeyfest will feature exclusive demo opportunities from top end equipment manufacturers including Easton, Bauer, CCM, Reebok, Sher-wood and Warrior. In addition, fans and players had a chance to receive special prizes, giveaways and discounts, while also getting the opportunity to meet Panthers players Jason Garrison and Mikael Samuelsson, along with the Redline Lady Panthers. All appearances are subject to change.

Located in Coral Springs, the Iceplex is the official practice facility of the Florida Panthers. The 125,000-square-foot venue includes three sheets of ice and was ranked by USA Today in 2006 as one of the top 10 places to skate in the U.S. Open 364 days a year, the venue welcomes more than one million guests annually.
