Florida Panthers Rookie Aaron Ekblad was named as a replacement to the NHL All-Star Roster and will be playing in the All-Star game on Sunday, Jan. 25 at Nationwide Arena. FloridaPanthers.com caught up with the No.1 overall pick to get his reactions to All-Star weekend and answer questions from Twitter.
When the bus pulled up outside of the Ohio Health Ice Haus for the NHL All-Star Red Carpet arrivals, fans began cheering and trying to see which players would come out first. Rookie Aaron Ekblad made his way through the crowd stopping to sign some autographs, a few copies of his cover of The Hockey News and snap a selfie or two with fans.
The stage is set for tonight's All-Star Skills Competition. Ekblad will be competing in the fastest skater, hardest shot & Discover NHL Shootout. You can find a full list of events tonight here.
