Aaron Ekblad is in Columbus for NHL All-Star weekend. He's slated to participate in the Skills competition and the NHL All-Star game on Sunday at 5 p.m. on NBCSN. Here are some of the rookie's reactions from this morning's media day:

On his family joining him in Columbus:
"My parents are coming in tonight and my aunt and uncle. It's really cool to have them, they've been at almost every one of my major things that have gone on. They've been in Florida, Nashville and my dad is coming to Dallas when we play there. I'm pretty lucky to have that support group."

On the Panthers: "We've got to win games. We've got to focus on the game plan each and every night and realize that our playoffs is right now. The games that are really important are now and throughout the season."

On Luongo: "He's one of the best goalies to ever play the game. He's in the gym, he's in the dressing room just doing all of the little things it takes to be a good pro. That's what i've been learning."

On the game of hockey: "We want the game to be internationally recognized."

Aaron's answer: My favorite memory so far has to be scoring my first goal agains the Philadelphia Flyers.

Aaron's answer: Shawn Thornton is one of the funniest guys.. and Jimmy 'Broadway' Hayes.

Aaron's answer: No, I have compared hair tips with Scottie Upshall though.
