On Saturday, June 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Florida Panthers IceDen will host HockeyFest, an interactive experience for hockey players and fans to demo the latest and greatest in hockey equipment.

Bauer, CCM, Warrior and more will be in attendance for fans to take part in exclusive demo opportunities. But that's not all!

Outside the Panthers IceDen, there will be activities such as: street hockey, vendors, music, inflatables, food trucks, and a video game truck. Public skating will also be available from 1-3 p.m. for $8.50 admission and $4 skate rental.

Select special Panthers guests and broadcasters will be in attendance for autograph and photo opportunities throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you!

Back On Tour

Once again, the Cats have teamed up with Broward County Libraries for the second annual Summer Reading Tour. The tour, included as part of the Libraries' Summer Learning Program, will have its first date on Thursday, June 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Library of Broward County.

Fans will remember that last summer the Panthers visited 11 libraries in Broward county with various guest readers including Roberto Luongo, Aaron Ekblad, Panthers Alumni Bill Lindsay and more.

The same can be said for this year, as various Panthers players and personalities will once again be at various stops along the tour. Fans can visit FloridaPanthers.com/ReadingTour for more information and a full schedule of the reading tour.

Gold Medal Status

On May 18, Panthers defenseman Mike Matheson and U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Gold Medalist Emily Pfalzer served as guest instructors at the inaugural Girls Learn to Play sessions at both the Panthers IceDen and Palm Beach Skate Zone.

"It was so exciting to see people recognize women's hockey and just how many moms came up to us and said, 'My daughter wants to play now after the saw that game,'" Pfalzer said. "I think that's what we really hope for. We want these little girls to be able to play professional hockey and have that dream… My teammates and I are hoping that they'll want to be like us someday."
