Every new season brings change and this year at BB&T Center is no exception. Which leads me to…

The Gloves Are Off (Again)

On Wednesday, the Cats announced that they are brining back a new version of Funky Buddha Gloves Off Red IPA Round 2. Created in conjunction with Funky Buddha Brewery, the new ale is "ferociously hopped, combining the muscular malt backbone of a red ale with the slap-shot intensity of an IPA."

For all you beer aficionados out there, this year's version will feature an updated recipe dosed with Amarillo and Mosaic hops for notes of tropical fruit and pine intermingling with smooth, caramel malts.

Of if you are just looking for a refreshing beverage to enjoy at games, then head to the Funky Buddha Brewery Tap Room at BB&T Center starting Oct. 5 to get your hands on this new brew. Some fan favorites will also be returning to the Tap Room throughout the season as well.

But that's not all! Later this season, Funky Buddha's famous grain pretzels will also be available to snack on at the Tap Room.

And because we love hosting a good time for our fans, Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park will be hosting three watch parties this season:

Wednesday November 27 - 7:00 pm @ Washington Capitals

Tuesday January 21 - 8:30 pm @ Chicago Blackhawks

Thursday March 26 - 7:00 pm @ Montreal Canadiens

Familiar Faces

There will be two new faces on Panthers broadcasts this season on FOX Sports Florida.

Well…new to the broadcast anyway.

Former Panthers captain Ed Jovanovski and former NHL defenseman Jeff Chychrun will both appear on Panthers television broadcasts throughout the season as pre-post-and intermission analysts. The two will bring a wealth of hockey knowledge to the broadcasts and will help educate and entertain fans with their unique perspectives.

Colorful Cats

There will be a new addition to BB&T Center this season that fans can enjoy and take photos of and it comes from a surprising source. John Curran, a professional golfer with 93 appearances on the PGA Tour to his credit, stopped by BB&T Center to paint a brand-new mural on the upper level of the arena. The mural itself is a message of #OneTerritory and celebrates both the team and the endangered Florida panther.

Previewing the Season

With the 2019-20 season finally here, Cats captain Aleksander Barkov stopped by the Territory Talk studio to talk about life under Joel Quenneville and how the push towards the playoffs needs to start with Game 1. Also, Doug, Jameson and Katie shared some of their predictions for the upcoming campaign. Listen below and head on over to to catch past episodes.
