Today’s Rats Roundup falls on a special anniversary. Exactly one year ago today, Jaromir Jagr became a Panther.
The 44-year-old is putting up an incredibly strong season, leading the Panthers in goals (20) and points (44) so far. And that all culminated in history on Saturday, when he netted two goals and moved to third all-time in goals scored.
He also earned a First Star of the Week nod from the NHL.
We’ve got extensive coverage of everything Jagr here on FloridaPanthers.com, so here’s everything you may have missed.

But one of the best moments came after the game, when Jagr talked about how his birthday wish earlier in the week helped him make history.
Jagr’s historic game also earned him his first #SpaceyInSpace hoodie of the season. The locker room joke turned internet phenomenon is now for sale at Pantherland and the Panthers IceDen, with all proceeds benefitting the Florida Panthers Foundation and the Kevin Spacey Foundation.
It’s not just an internet phenomenon anymore, either. When Kevin Spacey joined the TODAY Show this week, the hosts pulled a #SpaceyInSpace hoodie out.
"This is their good luck charm. I don’t even know how to explain it,” said TODAY host Willie Geist.
