Can't Miss: Jagr's 1,900th point

Jagr collects 1,900th career point on 45th birthday

Listen to the best of the broadcast calls as Jaromir Jagr picks up another milestone with his 1,900th point on his 45th birthday

Welcome to Friday - the week's greatest day - and the start of a back-to-back out on the west coast. Pro tip: Take a nap after work. Not that you ever really need to justify a nap, but with a 10 p.m. start, you'll need the extra sleep.

The final #LateNightCats trip of the year is in full-swing, with the Panthers taking the first two games of the five-game stretch out west. Let's take a look back at a very busy week for the Cats.

A Jagr Celebration

Tweet from @FlaPanthers: Best. Birthday. Ever.

Wednesday night was a birthday party fit for a legend.

Panthers winger Jaromir Jagr celebrated his 45th birthday by becoming just the third skater in NHL history to suit up at that age. And he ended the night with another milestone and another win.

Jagr's quick pass in front of the net found Aleksander Barkov's stick and got past Sharks netminder Martin Jones to give the Cats a 5-3 lead, and Jagr his 1900th career point.

Tweet from @FlaPanthers: And another Jagr milestone!

Naturally, he followed up that elite milestone with an elite tweet.

Tweet from @68Jagr: Believe in yourself! And your mind will see the good in every situation.#68

Jagr also got some pretty nice birthday presents from national media outlets, in the form of birthday-related #content. ESPN celebrated the occasion by re-imaginging other prominent sports figures with the signature Jagr mullet in a feature that was both captivating and unnerving. TSN hopped on the mullet train with a look at the greatest mullets in sports history.

And finally, celebrated Jagr's 45th with 45 things to love about Jagr, plus another feature about how he's still going strong.

Bad & Bjugy

Don't look now, folks, but Nick Bjugstad is heating up. The 6-foot-6 forward has three goals in his last two games, and five points in his last five games.

Those are highlight reel goals, folks.

Bjugy joined the folks on NHL Network last night to talk about the squad's recent results and his own personal hot streak, and flashed that typical "Minnesota nice" charm.

Bjugstad isn't the only one on a hot streak. Jonathan Huberdeau has an absurd 3-4-7 line (with two game-winning goals) in four games since his return, and his linemate Aleksander Barkov is sporting an equally impressive 4-2-6 line over the same span.

Tweet from @FlaPanthers: That no-look pass, though.

As Walter White once said, "Respect the chemistry." We're not saying he was talking about Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau, but we're not saying he wasn't, either.
