Rapid Fire: The Final Four, Panthers Style

by Bill Lindsay / Florida Panthers
Welcome to Rapid Fire. Panthers broadcasters Steve Goldstein and Bill Lindsay will hit five different thoughts on a daily rotating basis. It's up to them as far as what topics they want to talk about as teams, and more specifically the Panthers, make a push towards the playoffs and the Stanley Cup.

With the Panthers having just four games left on the schedule, Bill Lindsay takes a look at the five things the team has to do over those final games..

1. Find Some Energy: It has been a tough stretch with a very busy schedule but that happens when an 82 game schedule is packed into five and a half months. The players have to dig deep and find what ever gas they have left in the tank. Let it all hang out. The Panthers have to find a way. Anyway, anyhow. No excuses.

2. Believe:  This is a good team and they have proven that throughout the season. It's  been pretty much the same personnel the entire season. They have to believe in their abilities and trust in each other.

3. Veteran Leadership: The veterans have to provide the leadership. The Cats have a lot of players with Stanley Cup rings and a lot of NHL experience. They have been in tough spots before and have gotten the job done. It's crunch time and its time for the leaders to lead.

4. Power Play: The power play has to generate offense. The Panthers are having trouble scoring goals and have been for most of the sesaon so when they get the man advantage, they have to look to capitalize.

5. Playing To Potential: They need everyone to play to their potential. The Panthers are an average team when they only have five or six players going. They need the whole team on board and pulling on the rope and in the same direction.
