Putting It All Together

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
Putting together a winner.

The Blackhawks are in their second straight Western Conference finals (finished second in the West during the regular season) and a lot of that comes thanks to the handiwork of new Panthers general manager Dale Tallon.

Tallon was at the forefront of drafting, signing or aquiring 16 of the 20 players that took part in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against the San Jose Sharks (a game in which they won 2-1).

Below is the list of the 16 players that Tallon had a hand in getting on the team, how they were brought to the team and what position Tallon held at the time of the acquisition. Tallon has used all three avenues in getting the players assembled, drafting five of them, signing seven more as free agents and acquiring four more via trades.
