Selected in the second round (32nd overall) last June, Hawryluk impressed at training camp even earning a stint in the preseason for the Panthers.

Heading from South Florida back to his junior club in Brandon, Manitoba, the 18-year old returned to the Wheat Kings on a mission. Hawryluk started the season on fire, posting five points (3-2-5) including two game-winning goals in his first two games of the season.

Hawryluk comes off of a weekend that saw him score four goals in a game on Oct. 18 against the Portland Winterhawks. The 5’10”, 197 lbs. forward brings a solid skillset with him mixed with speed and grit.

Two-way play is the name of Hawryluk’s game as he leads the Wheat Kings with nine goals and a plus-eight rating.
