Head Coach Jacques Martin
On tonight's game:
"It was one of our better games this season. The way we played was encouraging. Our team game was a lot better and that has to be the key. We have to play well as a team. We moved the puck well tonight."
On tonight's win:
"It's finally bouncing our way. We got our first win on the road and it's really a positive for us."
Tom Renney on tonight's game...
here was enough to like about our game, in general, in terms of team play to know we're moving in the right direction. You're never happy with an individual mistake, but you don't leave each other stranded like that either. It's still a function of playing a team game, even though there might be individual mistakes. We lost tonight and I'm not going to dress that up. I'm not happy, nobody is. There are things from a coaching perspective that you can look at and use as good examples of moving your team forward.
On the team's attitude...
Tom Renney: I thought we out-shot our opponent, in defensive recoveries I thought we were fine. I thought we were getting the puck deep and forcing them to come 200 feet. There were turnovers and giveaways but they were deep. At the same time, they (Florida) played a very good road game. What I liked about our team tonight was we did everything we could to try to get ourselves back into it, even when it was 3-1. The bench completely believed that we could win the game.
