On how the young players have developed... I like the way they've evolved. The one thing is it's been a winning program all this year at Rochester. They've had an outstanding season and they've been a big part of that. That helps their confidence; because of injuries they were called upon. We had to call on them several times this year to play an important role on our team. Also tonight, our leaders came out and played hard. Jokinen with a +3 tonight, Chris Gratton, Weiss, Horton, and Gelinas played outstanding. That line has been outstanding the last three games.
On the defense... It's not only the six defenseman; it's the whole team playing well. Bryan Allen had a strong game again. We had good production when we had some breakdowns and Eddie had good saves for us.
On the importance of this game... We'll have to put a streak of wins together now with 25 games remaining; that's 50 points. We have to find ways to win this week in Montreal and Ottawa and come back home. The key is how we play and how determined we are and keeping our faith. We play Tampa Bay five times; so it's a lot of games with the team that's ahead of us. Bottom line: we just have to win some games.
On when the team will be healthy again to make a run... Probably a couple weeks away from people like Stumpel; Bertuzzi will hopefully be ready next Saturday. The key is for us to win some games now and to get within reach. We don't want to be any lower than we are; it's going to be key for us to win some games on the road
