With time winding down in the opening period, rookie winger Evgeny Dadonov gets behind the Flyers defense and then makes a nice move on Russian netminder Sergei Bobrovsky before sliding the puck past him with 44 ticks to play.
After giving up a 3-0 lead and allowing the Sabres to tie it, Jason Garrison makes sure Florida grabs the two points as his end-to-end rush finishes off with a fake pass to David Booth before beating Ryan Miller for the game-winner with 7:07 left to play in the third.
Looking for the tying goal with two extra men (power play, goaltender pulled) Buffalo's Drew Staffors can't find the equalizer with 39 seconds left as Tomas Vokoun is there to stop his point blank shot.
Knotted at one, Boston looks to take the lead on a rush as David Krejci sends a cross ice feed to Michael Ryder. Scott Clemmensen reads the play perfectly and gets over to deny the winger with 6:42 left in the second.
With Florida and Boston changing chances off of rushes in overtime, Scott Clemmensen has to come up big with 45 seconds to play in the extra session. Blake Wheeler sets up David Krejci off a nice saucer pass but Clemmensen is there to deny the Bruin.
With the clock running down (3:22) in regulation, Tomas Vokoun has to be on his toes, stopping three different Habs chances, including shots on captain Brian Gionta on the rush and James Wisniewski from the point.
Sneaking down from his defensive position, Dan Girardi gets a great opportunity to put the Rangers on the board but Tomas Vokoun is in the perfect position to deny the Ranger 13:05 into the second period.
A great individual play by Chris Higgins as he first steals the puck in the defensive zone then works his way up the ice in a two-on-one with Michael Frolik. The forward fakes the pass, does a toe drag around the defenseman and then fires it past Martin Biron to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead 8:50 into the third period.
