Panthers visit West Point

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers

Yesterday, the Florida Panthers held an on-ice session at Tate Rink at the United States Military Academy at West Point. After the practice, the Cats continued team building activites such as hiking. The team also had dinner with players from the Army Black Knights.

While on the trip, Head Coach Gerard Gallant announced that Willie Mitchell was named Captain of the Cats for the upcoming season!

It was an honor today accepting the duties of being an Assistant Captain from LTC (Ret) Hank Keirsey on top of Torne Mountain w/ my teammates. We are a team made up of many exceptional leaders and huge character. This is our culture.
