SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers unveiled today the “You Make The Pick” presented by JetBlue promotion in which every fan can play a role in the Cats’ first pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Three grand prize winners and their guests will receive a trip (including roundtrip airfare and accommodations) to Los Angeles for the Draft on June 25, a meet and greet opportunity with hockey operations staff including General Manager Randy Sexton, and exclusive access to the prospect Florida selects with the third overall pick. The promotion is part of the Panthers 4th Period 2010 Offseason Driven by Lexus.
The random drawing to choose the three grand prize winners for “You Make The Pick” presented by JetBlue will take place June 3 and will be announced on FloridaPanthers.com.
In addition to a trip to the Draft in Los Angeles and access to the Panthers draft process, the drawing winners will also act as fan ambassadors and be part of a media push through FloridaPanthers.com and social media to determine what Panthers fans want their team to do with third overall pick.
Also, every participating season ticket holder will enter the name of the prospect they predict will be chosen by the Panthers, and if they predict correctly, they will win special prizes associated with that player including signed merchandise, a private meet and greet, and more.
“We want Panthers fans and the South Florida community to feel excited and involved in the process leading up to our first pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft,” said SSE president & COO Michael Yormark. “With this once-in-a-lifetime, total access concept, we are doing exactly that, while also creating fan ambassadors that will clearly represent our fan base at the upcoming draft. No one outside the Panthers organization will be more in tune with our Draft day strategy, than the grand prize winners of ‘You Make The Pick’ presented by JetBlue.”
