SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has traded F Jean-Francois Jacques to the Tampa Bay Lightning in return for future considerations.
Jacques played in 24 games with the San Antonio Rampage this season, recording seven points (5-2-7) and 37 PIM. The Montreal, Que native signed a one-year contract with the Panthers on July 5, 2012. Jacques has played in 166 National Hockey League games for Edmonton (2005-2011) and Anaheim (2011-12) registering 17 points (9-8-17) and 197 PIM. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound forward played in six scoreless games for the Ducks last season, while also appearing in 65 contests for Syracuse (American Hockey League) scoring 21 goals with 19 assists.
