Panthers to Host 'Shirts Off Our Backs' Program April 1st

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
On April 1 the Florida Panthers Foundation will once again host the popular Shirts off Our Backs program.

Fans will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and bid on the game-worn jersey of their favorite Panthers player. The auction will conclude at the end of the second intermission and all winners will be escorted onto center ice to receive the jersey that they won after the conclusion of the game against Southeast Division rival Carolina Hurricanes.

Each player will skate up to the fan that won their jersey and will present the winner with their game-worn, autographed jersey. Photos will be taken of each fan with their player and sent to the winners.

Additionally, the Foundation will offer fans the opportunity to purchase a “Lucky Easter Egg.” All eggs will be filled with candy and one lucky egg will contain the grand prize, a chance to win a game worn jersey and participate in the night’s ceremony. Other prizes include concert tickets and signed merchandise.

All proceeds will benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation. The mission of the Florida Panthers Foundation is to assist non-profit organizations which focus on family healthcare, medical research, children’s education and cultural needs through corporate partnerships, philanthropic grants and unique resources. Through teamwork, interaction and education, the Florida Panthers Foundation works to bring together a wealth of talent on and off the ice to build a better future for the children of South Florida.
