by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers announced today that they will collect donations for victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti during the club’s next two home games against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the BankAtlantic Center.

“This was a tragic and devastating event for the citizens of Haiti, as well as the numerous South Florida residents that have family members residing in the area,” said Florida Panthers President & COO Michael Yormark. “We encourage our fans to help support this worthy cause and help the victims who are suffering from this unfortunate tragedy.”
Fans are encouraged to bring monetary donations (check or cash) or non-perishable food items/water and drop them at the donation tables located inside the BankAtlantic Center, just outside Pantherland on the main plaza level. A Panthers team representative will be on hand to collect donations during both home games. Fans not attending either game may drop their donation at the Panthers Executive Offices located on the suite level of the BankAtlantic Center between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m on weekdays.
