SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers announced that individual tickets for season opening games versus Atlanta (Oct. 5) and Tampa Bay (Oct. 7) will go on sale tomorrow (Fri., Sept. 9) at 8 a.m. Individual tickets for the Panthers first 11 home games will be available.

Panthers fans can still purchase great season seats that start as low as $7 per game, as well as mini plans and group ticket packages by contacting a sales representative at (954) 835-PUCK. These packages include the best seats in the BankAtlantic Center for the most exciting Panthers games of the season.

"We are extremely pleased with the outstanding response for season seats, mini plans and groups for the upcoming season," Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chad Johnson said. "Fans have recognized the outstanding value behind our ticket packages and as a result we will delay the individual ticket on-sale of our final 31 games in order to maintain the availability of our best inventory for those packages. Group tickets for the two opening week games against Atlanta and Tampa Bay have been selling tremendously well with over 10,000 group tickets already purchased for those two games and we are receiving more requests daily."

Florida Panthers General Manager Mike Keenan has worked diligently acquiring several skilled and experienced players who will make a significant impact in the Panthers lineup. Since talking over at the helm as general manager, Keenan has added ten players to the Cats roster that bring to the club more than 6,000 games of NHL experience and seven Stanley Cup titles.

This will be the first Panthers season for Head Coach Jacques Martin and new Cats such as C Joe Nieuwendyk, LW Gary Roberts, LW Martin Gelinas, C Jozef Stumpel, C Chris Gratton and D Sean Hill.

"The young guys will be forced to come along. They have no other choice because we are going to win a lot of hockey games." - Joe Nieuwendyk, quoted in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel

"Opening week is going to feature a pair of spectacular nights of entertainment," Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark said. "Not only will there be the return of the greatest game on earth, but we're also planning some outstanding pre-game, in-game and post-game activities for both nights."
