SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that Florida Panthers staff members hosted a party for patients at the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at Broward General in Ft. Lauderdale on Friday, July 8.
The hospital visit, which took place in the Panthers-themed pediatric oncology unit, featured a number of incredible kids-themed activities including face painting, arts and crafts, hockey lessons with the Panthers staff, gift bags and decorations from Party City, and ice cream from Coldstone Creamery.

“I’d like to thank our staff members, as well as our wonderful partners at Broward General, Party City and Coldstone Creamery for putting on such a wonderful event on Friday,” said SSE president & COO Michael Yormark. “Friday’s event was further proof of the philanthropic mindset of our staff, as well as our organization’s very serious commitment to fighting pediatric cancer in South Florida and beyond.”
