Panthers Recall D Nolan Yonkman, Reassign D Colby Robak to San Antonio (AHL)

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that D Nolan Yonkman has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). In addition, D Colby Robak has been reassigned to San Antonio (AHL).
Yonkman, 30, leads San Antonio with a plus-14 rating in 43 games this season, depositing nine points (1-8-9) and 91 PIM. The 6-foot-6, 251-pound captain of the Rampage has totaled nine points (1-8-9) and 129 PIM in 66 NHL games during parts of four NHL seasons with Washington and Phoenix, most recently as a member of the Coyotes during the 2010-11 season. The native of Punnichy, Sask., was selected by the Capitals in the second round (37th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
Robak, 21, totaled a plus-1 rating in three games with the Panthers since being recalled on Feb. 11, including a plus-2 rating in his NHL debut at the Islanders on Feb. 12. In 48 games with San Antonio this season, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman has posted 25 points (7-18-25) and 22 PIM. The Dauphin, Man., native represented the Rampage at the 2012 AHL All-Star Game in Atlantic City earlier this season and was originally selected by Florida in the second round (46th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The first-place Panthers (27-19-11) continue their homestand when they host Anaheim tomorrow at 6 p.m. The game can be seen live on FS Florida and heard on 560 WQAM and 760 ESPN (Palm Beaches).
